Msheireb and Metahug have joined forces to introduce an innovative Roblox experience, immersing players in the vibrant tapestry of Qatari culture. Through this strategic collaboration, education meets interactive gaming, offering a glimpse into Qatar’s sustainable innovations, artistic flair, and rich heritage. Unveiled during the TEFFA event at M7 in Msheireb Downtown Doha, this partnership marks a significant step towards preserving and celebrating Qatar’s cultural legacy.

The Roblox platform will serve as a gateway to a series of captivating mini-games, each meticulously crafted to showcase different facets of Qatari life and history. From ‘Pearl Hunt,’ paying homage to Qatar’s pearl diving tradition, to activities inspired by Msheireb Properties’ human-centric design philosophy, players will embark on a journey of discovery and creativity.

 With a focus on sustainability and design, players will engage in activities ranging from crafting sustainable fashion inspired by traditional Qatari attire to designing furniture reflecting the region’s architectural elegance. Furthermore, mini-games will offer insights into Arabic typography and the storied history of Bedouin lifestyles, underscoring Qatar’s commitment to preserving its cultural heritage. 

This collaboration not only underscores Msheireb’s dedication to cultural stewardship but also aligns with Metahug’s mission of educating through engagement.

 Shaikha Al Sulaiti, Senior Manager of the Doha Design District, emphasized the partnership’s aim to create a more enriching experience, imparting knowledge about Qatar’s cultural heritage while fostering enjoyment. Working closely with Lian Pham, co-founder of Metahug, this collaboration taps into Metahug’s expertise in educational gaming, mainly through its Play2Learns initiative, which seamlessly integrates learning with play. 

A series of workshops scheduled as part of the upcoming TEFA event will offer youth meaningful opportunities to connect with and appreciate Qatar’s rich heritage and future aspirations.
