H.E. Mr. Mansoor bin Ebrahim
bin Saad Al Mahmoud, Minister of Public Health, inaugurated the second edition
of Qatar’s International Healthcare and Medical Exhibition and Conference,
Qatar Medicare. Organized by IFP Qatar in collaboration with Qatar Chamber (QC)
and held under the patronage of the Ministry of Public Health, the event takes
place from November 11 to 13, 2025, at the Doha Exhibition and Convention
Center (DECC). Qatar Medicare brings together 100 local and international
companies under one roof—64 local and 36 international exhibitors—including
healthcare professionals, hospital representatives, medical service providers,
distributors of medical supplies and equipment, technology experts, and
investors.

Ms Ibtihaj Al Ahmadani, chair
of the health committee at Qatar Chamber, said: “The Qatar Chamber is
committed to achieving self-sufficiency in the medical and pharmaceutical
sectors. Qatar Medicare reflects the strong public-private collaboration
driving Qatar’s healthcare landscape. The event features the participation and
sponsorship of a wide range of governmental and semi-governmental entities
active in Qatar’s healthcare sector,
with
Hamad Medical Corporation serving as the official partner and the Ministry of
Communications and Information Technology as the government partner. It also
includes extensive international participation from 14 countries around the
world, led by prominent global institutions such as the Africa Centres for
Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC), UNESCO, the World Health
Organization (WHO), and the International Labour Organization (ILO), alongside
numerous regional and international partners and private sector companies,
including hospitals, medical centers, insurance firms, and medical equipment
suppliers.”

According to estimates by
Fitch Solutions, a subsidiary of Fitch Ratings, Qatar’s healthcare sector is
projected to experience accelerated growth, with total health expenditure
expected to increase at a compound annual growth rate of 14% by 2029, reaching
USD 11.5 billion (QAR 41.86 billion). This expansion is set to position Qatar
as the third-largest healthcare market in the GCC and the tenth-largest in the
MENA region.

Ms. Hayat Bayan, Commercial
& Operations Director at IFP Qatar, said: “Qatar Medicare includes daily one-on-one
meetings between exhibitors, visitors, and major hospitals from both the public

more than
55 speakers,
25 presentations, five dialogue sessions, four workshops, training sessions,
and an Open Stage segment that allows professionals two minutes each to share
their work and expertise. The event will conclude with the Qatar Medicare 2025
Healthcare Excellence Awards, honoring 15 categories of outstanding healthcare
