Doha, Qatar: The Qatar Meteorology Department (QMD) has provided its latest weather update, forecasting cloudy conditions from tomorrow, May 6, through Wednesday, May 8. There’s a possibility of light to moderate scattered rain, with potential thunder in some areas at times. QMD hasn’t issued any additional warnings for this period.

The Department also mentioned that mid-latitude weather systems will intermittently affect the region until the middle of this month. However, these weather patterns are expected to become less frequent in the latter half of May. QMD explained that this change is due to the strengthening Indian low, leading to the prevalence of Northerly winds by the second half of the month.

In terms of temperature, the daily mean for May is expected to be around 32°C. Doha has experienced quite a range in temperatures during May in the past, with the lowest recorded at 15.2°C in 1971 and the highest reaching 47.7°C in 2014
