Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) stands as Qatar’s cornerstone healthcare provider, ensuring both citizens and residents receive essential medical care. To access services at Hamad Hospital, individuals must hold a Hamad Health Card, which can be conveniently renewed offline or online. 


Here’s how:

  1. Visit any HMC facility or a health center affiliated with the Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC).
  2. Prepare the necessary documents:
  3. For Qatari Adults: Copy of valid QID or passport, along with a passport-size photo.
  4. For Qatari Children: Provide the QID number and the existing Hamad Health Card.
  5. For GCC Nationals (Adults): Present a copy of the QID with the Qatar personal identity number and the old Hamad Health Card.
  6. For GCC Nationals (Children): Submit a copy of the QID with the Qatar personal identity number and the old Hamad Health Card.
  7. For Adult Residents: Present the QID with a valid residence permit and the Hamad Health Card.
  8. For Resident Children: Provide the QID with a valid residence permit, the old Hamad Health Card, and the original QID of the sponsor.
  9. For Domestic Staff: Submit the QID with a valid residence permit, the Hamad Health Card, and the original QID of the sponsor.
  10. Complete the process by paying the required fees.

Renewing Your Health Card Online:

  1. Access the online portal designated for health card services.
  2. Fill out the online form by entering all the necessary information.
  3. Input your QID number and select “Renew (Update Expiry Date)” on the “Information” page.
