Qatar Launches Public Awareness Campaign ‘Where For Your Care?’ Emphasizing Emergency Services Utilization

In a concerted effort, Qatar’s public healthcare sector has introduced a national campaign called “Where For Your Care?” designed to educate the public about emergency and urgent healthcare services. The collaborative initiative involves the Ministry of Public Health (MOPH), Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC), Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC), Sidra Medicine, and Qatar Red Crescent (QRC). The campaign, set to run until the end of February, currently spotlights the vital role of the Ambulance Service provided by Hamad Medical Corporation.

With Qatar’s population surpassing 3 million, “Where For Your Care?” seeks to inform the public that ambulances should be reserved for individuals facing life-threatening medical emergencies, such as strokes, heart attacks, unconsciousness, seizures, choking, or severe allergic reactions. The objective is to minimize unnecessary 999 calls for non-life-threatening conditions, ensuring that HMC’s Ambulance Service remains prompt and efficient in responding to the most critical cases.
