Qatar Alzheimer’s Association Launches “Remember Me” Campaign on World Alzheimer’s DayThe Qatar Alzheimer’s Association today announced the launch of its national “Remember Me” campaign on World Alzheimer’s Day, as part of World Alzheimer’s Month 2025, reaffirming its commitment to supporting patients, families, and caregivers across the country. Licensed and approved by the Ministry of Social Development & Family, under the provisions of Decree-Law No. (21) of 2020 regarding private associations and institutions, the Association was formally endorsed on 2 June 2025 by Her Excellency Buthaina bint Ali Al Jabr Al Nuaimi, Minister of Social Development and Family. The campaign theme, “Remember Me,” reflects the voices of those living with Alzheimer’s and their families. For some, it is the call of a person with Alzheimer’s asking society to treat them with dignity, compassion, and inclusion. For others, it is the quiet plea of a son, daughter, or caregiver looking into the eyes of someone they love: “Do you remember me?” It is a reminder that while Alzheimer’s may take memories, it can never take away love, humanity, or the bonds that hold families together.Across Doha, landmarks and buildings will be illuminated in purple, with public places, gyms, hotels, and corporate companies joining in solidarity. These lights are more than a color; they are symbols of unity, empathy, and hope — and a message that Alzheimer’s is not faced alone, but with the strength of families, communities, and society as a whole. The Association is chaired by Noora Salah Al Jaidah, with Ameera Mohammed Kazem Al Ansari serving as Treasurer, supported by a wider Board of Directors composed of dedicated and respected members of the Qatari community. Together, this team drives the Association’s mission and ensures its work reflects both compassion and national commitment.“Remember Me — a word that carries a different meaning for everyone touched by Alzheimer’s,” said Noora Salah Al Jaidah, Chairperson of the Qatar Alzheimer’s Association.“Our work is built on the strength of unity and collective responsibility,” added Ameera Mohammed Kazem Al Ansari, Treasurer of the Association. “Through awareness and support, we can ease the burden on families and help build a more compassionate society.”About Qatar Alzheimer’s Association (Boilerplate)The Qatar Alzheimer’s Association is a licensed non-governmental, non-profit organization dedicated to supporting Alzheimer’s patients and their families.
