The inaugural Hoops for All Basketball Camp will take place from December 20 to 28, 2024, at
the Qatar Basketball Federation Training Hall in Doha, offering young participants a unique
opportunity to develop their skills both on and off the court.
A Vision Rooted in Leadership and Global Recognition
The Hoops for All initiative stems from Abdulrahim Abuissa’s award-winning project pitched
during the FIBA Youth Leadership Competition in Singapore in September 2024. This
innovative concept, which earned a top-three position, gained full backing and mentorship from
the FIBA Foundation. By aligning with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals
(SDGs) 3, 4, and 10—focusing on good health and well-being, quality education, and reduced
inequalities—Hoops for All is poised to leave a lasting impact on the community.

A Camp for Inclusion, Unity, and Growth
The eight-day camp will welcome 120 young participants, including 50 children evacuated from
Gaza, who are guests of the State of Qatar, alongside 70 local and expatriate youth. The program
is designed to offer a safe, dynamic environment where participants will develop basketball skills
while building essential life skills such as leadership, teamwork, and cultural understanding.
By blending sportsmanship with values of inclusivity and collaboration, the camp emphasizes
the transformative power of basketball in breaking down barriers and promoting meaningful
connections among youth.

The Hoops for All Basketball Camp will feature mentorship from both local and international
basketball stars and experts, offering participants unparalleled access to elite training. These
