Qatar Foundation Students Rally Support and Raise Millions for Palestine Aid

In a heartfelt display of solidarity and compassion, students from Qatar Foundation have undertaken various initiatives and events since the Gaza genocide began in October 2023. Their collective efforts have not only raised awareness about the Palestinian genocide but have also resulted in a remarkable achievement—raising over QR 20.4 million for Palestine aid.

The students’ commitment to making a positive impact on the lives affected by the conflict has been nothing short of inspiring. The initiatives encompassed a range of activities, showcasing their dedication to supporting the Palestinian cause.

One notable event was the organization of exhibitions highlighting Palestine’s rich cultural heritage. Through these exhibitions, students aimed to foster a deeper understanding of the historical and cultural aspects of the Palestinian people, shedding light on their traditions and way of life.

Another significant undertaking was the ‘Stand with Palestine’ event, which took the form of a friendly football match. This creative initiative not only promoted camaraderie and unity but also proved to be a major fundraising success, generating a substantial QR 20 million in donations.

Adding a spiritual dimension to their efforts, students organized a unifying Qunoot prayer at Minaretein, the Education City Mosque. This spiritual gathering aimed to channel positive energy and prayers towards the well-being of the Palestinian people.

Beyond these events, students engaged in various activities designed to promote solidarity and raise awareness for Palestine. These efforts included educational campaigns, awareness drives, and artistic endeavors that sought to amplify the voices of those affected by the conflict.

Fundraising efforts extended to supporting schools destroyed in Gaza, emphasizing the students’ commitment to not only raising funds but also contributing to the reconstruction of educational institutions impacted by the conflict.

Qatar Foundation’s students have demonstrated that they are not only dedicated to their education but also compassionate global citizens who actively contribute to positive change. The significant amount raised underscores the impact that collective action can have in times of crisis, providing much-needed aid and support to those facing adversity.

In a world often filled with challenges, the actions of these students serve as a beacon of hope and an example of the positive change that can be achieved through unity, compassion, and a shared commitment to making a difference in the lives of others.
